Itinerary
Your safari begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you'll be met by a guide from your tour company. From there, head to Kampala, Uganda’s bustling capital. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening at a local hotel or explore Kampala’s vibrant nightlife. Overnight in Kampala.
Your safari adventure truly begins with a flight from Entebbe to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Uganda’s most remote and least visited parks. Situated in the northeastern corner of the country, Kidepo offers a raw, untamed safari experience.
Game Drives in Kidepo
Over the next two days, embark on thrilling game drives through the park’s stunning landscapes, which include open savannahs, rocky outcrops, and acacia woodlands. Kidepo is home to large populations of elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and several antelope species. You’ll also encounter rare species such as the ostrich, which is found in this park and nowhere else in Uganda.
Cultural Encounters with the Karamojong People
Apart from wildlife, the Karamojong people, an ethnic group living in the park’s vicinity, provide a unique cultural experience. Visit their villages and learn about their traditional way of life, including their distinctive kraal (homestead) structure and pastoral lifestyle.
