Day 1 :

Arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will pass through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, featuring rolling hills, small towns, and terraced farmlands. There may be a stop at the equator for a photo opportunity and a quick break.

Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check into your lodge near the park. Bwindi is renowned for its misty, tropical forests and breathtaking landscapes. The evening is yours to relax, enjoy the surroundings, and prepare for the exhilarating gorilla trekking experience awaiting you the next day. You may also opt for a short community walk to interact with the locals and learn about their culture.

Day 2 :

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. You will be divided into small groups, and each group will be assigned a gorilla family to track. Trekking through Bwindi’s dense forest can take between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorilla's location. The trails can be steep and muddy, but the experience of observing gorillas in their natural habitat is unforgettable.

Once you find the gorilla family, you’ll have one hour to observe their interactions, take photos, and witness the beauty of these magnificent creatures up close. The experience of standing just a few feet away from the critically endangered gorillas is both humbling and exhilarating.

After the trek, you will return to your lodge to relax and unwind. The rest of the evening can be spent enjoying the serenity of the forest or reflecting on the magical encounter with the gorillas.

Day 3 :

Departure and Return to Kampala or Entebbe

On the final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge before beginning the drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. If time allows, you can make stops along the way for more photos, local shopping, or a quick visit to Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival in Kampala or Entebbe, your guide will drop you off at your preferred location, marking the end of your 3-day Gorilla Safari.
