Arriving in Bwindi in the late afternoon, you will check into your lodge, where you can unwind and soak in the stunning views of the surrounding forest. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge and prepare for the thrilling adventure that awaits you in the days to come.
After an early breakfast, you will be briefed by park rangers at the gorilla trekking headquarters. They will explain the rules and guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful experience with the mountain gorillas. The trek begins as you venture into the dense rainforest of Bwindi. Be prepared for varying terrain and unpredictable weather, as the trek can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family you are tracking.
Once you find the gorillas, you will have an exhilarating hour to observe them as they interact, feed, and rest in their natural habitat. This encounter is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that highlights the importance of conservation efforts in protecting these majestic creatures.
