Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide, who will assist you with your luggage and provide an overview of your safari itinerary. You will then embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of Uganda’s countryside, with opportunities to stop for lunch and take photographs.
Upon arriving at Murchison Falls, check in to your lodge and take some time to relax. In the late afternoon, you may embark on a short game drive in the park, where you can spot various wildlife species, including elephants, giraffes, and a variety of antelope. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, soaking in the natural beauty around you.
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for an exciting morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. This park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. Your knowledgeable guide will provide insights about the wildlife and the ecosystems within the park as you traverse the landscape.
After your game drive, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, set out on a memorable boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. Enjoy stunning views of the waterfall as the river cascades through a narrow gorge. During the cruise, keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species, including the majestic shoebill stork. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, known for its incredible biodiversity and population of chimpanzees. The drive will take approximately 7-8 hours, allowing you to enjoy the scenic landscapes and rural life along the way.
Upon arrival at Kibale, check in to your accommodation and relax. If time permits, you can take an evening nature walk in the forest to spot nocturnal wildlife and enjoy the sounds of the rainforest. Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night in preparation for the exciting activities ahead.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers about chimpanzee tracking. Kibale Forest is home to one of the largest populations of chimpanzees in Africa, providing an incredible opportunity to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.
Once the briefing is complete, you will set out on your trek through the lush rainforest. As you search for the chimpanzees, keep an eye out for other wildlife species, such as monkeys, birds, and unique flora. Upon locating a chimpanzee group, you will have the chance to spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior and social interactions.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you may opt to take a guided nature walk or visit a nearby community to learn about local culture and traditions. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge, reflecting on the day’s incredible experiences.
After breakfast and check-out, you can participate in optional activities based on your departure schedule, such as a visit to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich birdlife and scenic landscapes.
Following your activities, begin your journey back to Entebbe, which takes approximately 5-6 hours. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will assist you with your luggage and ensure a smooth check-in for your departure flight. As you leave Uganda, take a moment to reflect on the unforgettable memories you’ve created during your wildlife and chimpanzee safari adventure.

FAQs
Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.
On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.
The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.
Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.
No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.
Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.
Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.
It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
